Scipeptide specialized in stapled peptides In 2004, Verdine group have reported one such strategy, termed “peptide stapling”, by which the α-helical conformation of a peptide can be stabilized, the staple consists of an all-hydrocarbon macrocycle bridge connecting adjacent turns of the helix. Stapled peptides have high helical structure and show high binding to target proteins with high-affinity. Moreover, stapled peptides have improved protease resistance and membrane permeability, and extend half-life period.
